Completing his legal education, Jim was licensed as an attorney in 2001 in Texas and began representing clients initially through the oldest law firm in the Dallas area, Burleson, Pate & Gibson, L.L.P., until he broke off and created Jim Bearden & Associates, P.L.L.C. to better serve his clients. Jim is a member of the State Bar of Texas, admitted to practice before the Northern and Eastern District of Texas Federal Courts, a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Arlington Bar Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Texas Bar Association. He is General Counsel for the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators and represents Toyota Motor Credit Corporation Commercial Finance Division and other commercial customers. Jim Bearden is a 35-year resident of Arlington, Texas and has had equity positions in companies dealing in the real estate, mortgage, banking, security, and education industries. He is a former Chairman of the Leonard Music Institute, Chairman and President of the Texas State Museum of History, and serves as Chairman of the Advisory Group for Everett Institute, a nationwide accredited educational institution as well as the City of Arlington Small Business Loan committee. In 1996 he was recognized as a community hero and carried the Olympic torch thru Arlington, Texas. He is a 30 year licensed Real Estate Broker and maintains multiple licenses in the securities industry. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He is a frequent speaker at group meetings and has had articles published in the Texas Bar Journal and other prestigious legal periodicals.
