Mr. Paul E. Brown is the founder and owner of CyberEvidence, Inc, an internationally recognized leader in computer forensic investigation and computer forensics training. Mr. Brown and his staff are in demand as speakers, trainers, and participants in leading industry events including the American Society of Industrial Security seminar, the Information System Security Association meetings, the Southeast Cybercrime Summit (HTCIA), the American Petroleum Institute’s IT Security Forum, the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Digital Energy Conference, and the FBI’s InfraGuard Seminar.

In addition to raising general awareness regarding computer security and forensic investigations, Mr. Brown has also been instrumental in raising the bar in forensics training. He was instrumental in establishing the first computer forensics laboratory for the Houston Police Department. Mr. Brown also created the first government micro-computing training facility in the City of Houston. At the national level, he took a leadership role by developing and presenting some of the federal government’s first computer forensic investigation classes. These classes, developed for the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) include:

FLETC’s very first Computer Network Investigation training course

The first Network Computer Forensic course combined with the Seized Computer Evidence Recovery Specialist (SCERS) training

In recognition of his knowledge and expertise, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) asked Mr. Brown to contribute to the Forensic Guide to Recovery of Electronic Evidence. Mr. Brown was also asked to contribute material to John Vacca’s latest book Computer Crime Scene Investigation.

Paul has dedicated his professional career to the prosecution of criminals, the pursuit of knowledge, and the raising of awareness in computer technologies. Through this knowledge and dedication, he and his organization have been able to track and recover millions in corporate dollars, and train thousands of the world's most elite investigators in how to use the most up to date technology available for collecting court-ready and fully defendable digital evidence.

Mr. Brown has served his country in the United States Air Force, and has over 30 years in law enforcement.

Currently retired from the Houston Police Department, Mr. Brown continues his tenure as a Texas Peace Officer with a local department.
